LETTER FROM IRENE TO THE FRENCH CONSULATE-JERUSALEM

Irene MAQUARD
Joliette QC, CANADA

January 14, 1997

                                              Sir,

Knowing that the French Consulate in Montreal kept you informed of my presence
here, and of the various problems I am facing, I join, following this a mail I sent on December 5 to Mr.
De Charette, for it summarizes rather well the overall aspect of this subject.

After writing also to Mr. Arafat, and receiving no answer, neither from himself,
nor from his representatives, I am now bringing the all in front of Justice, for their lack of word and
of respect in their commitments, even written, makes my honesty questionable toward too many
people who had followed me in this venture, and prevented me from keeping my commitments.

Would you give me the address of a lawyer who will contact the one from here who
is representing me, and follow up this case on the place in front of the appropriate Court?

Given the whole of this project has been voluntarily sabotaged, and this for various
reasons I want to ignore, I will ask for the repayment of the horses remaining in Gaza, notably of H.S.
Manar, Pure Arabian 10 years old, which was not part of the original deal between Mr. Arafat and
myself, as the subsequent commitments obtained from my partners Marc and Marie Campus were by
compelling means that can be qualified of swindling and breach of trust;
I can justify this.

The 4 other horses, French Anglo-Arabs, are from the best international origins,
coming from breedings as renowned as Mr. Bastin-Lavauzelle's
**. We prepared them in France during 5
years, investing a big amount of work and money, to bring them to Gaza, and end up blocked, without
being able to carry on their career.
Moreover, all the manufacturing work we had done on the place, as well as the
marketing department settled in Canada have been ruined and sabotaged.
With my thanks in advance, please accept my regards.
